Priyatel skelet
While Task Force M is split up, each undergoes their own path before reuniting on their way to kill Princess Ilana of Pokolistan. Eric Frankenstein starts heading to Pokolistan to protect his Bride. Meanwhile, Waller and her team hope Gen. Flag wakes up from his coma to understand what’s going on.

The Creation of Dr. Phosphorus
The heart of this episode, like in previous episodes, is the backstory for Dr. Phosphorus. The formula of a backstory explaining why each member of Task Force M is misunderstood spliced with scenes from the present continues. Dr. Phosphorus was once Alex Sartorius, a scientist searching for a pain-free cure to cancer. Unfortunately, his funding came from Gotham mob boss Rupert Thorne who planned on selling his research to fascist governments to use against their citizens.

Sartorius tries to sabotage his own work because his wife comes from a country that used chemical weapons against its own people. However, Thorne’s people figure it out and kill his wife and son, framing Sartorius before also staging a suicide that inadvertently turned him into the radioactive Dr. Phosphorus.
Seeking revenge, Phosphorus takes down Thorne’s gang and seems to be living the life of luxury until he’s taken down by Batman. The Caped Crusader takes him to Belle Reve where he would end up joining Task Force M.
Task Force M
In the present, Phosphorus sneaks into a home where a young child finds him. He feeds her and is ready to kill her but remembering his own son, decides to spare her. Her parents find him playing with her in the yard and point him to the castle.
While this is going on, The Bride and Nina sneak into a brothel to escape the Pokolistan Knights. They hide with the madam offering them a job because men have proclivities. Eventually, some men try to have their way with one of the ladies and the Bride and Nina step in. It’s “heroic,” but felt like a silly way to pass the time until the team could reunite at the end of the episode.

Weasel ends up alone in the wounds. Surrounded by a pack of wolves, it looks like he’s about to be in the fight for his life until he’s accepted and allowed to play like the lovable Weasel he wants to be. Once the night is over, Task Force M reunites on their way to the castle to complete their mission of assassinating the Princess of Pokolistan.
Everyone Else
Princess Ilana, who was able to ward off the first attack from Task Force M due to a warning from Gen. Rick Flag, is readying her army for their second attack. She knows they are still alive and is preparing for the worst. Eric Frankenstein boarded a plane to Pokolistan where he killed all the passengers and ensured the crew didn’t question him. He’s now ready to stop The Bride from making a deadly mistake. Gen. Rick Flag remains on life support after the attack from Clayface. Waller and her team are waiting for him to wake up to hear from him as they believe he was attacked by Eric Frankenstein, which technically he was a few episodes earlier.
rating
What the hell was this? I like the show, but I have no clue what the majority of this was. The backstory was the most heart wrenching yet. That part worked a lot better than some of the previous ones. Unfortunately, nothing else worked. All of the scenes set in the present felt like plot filler rather than building to the finale. While this series hasn’t been the best, it’s been good, but this didn’t work for me. For the first time since the premiere, I’m not excited for the next episode. That’s not a good sign going into the finale.
